ALSC hosts regular community engagement sessions to allow members and others interested in library service to children the opportunity to resource share, come up with new ideas, and stay updated on the work of the Association.

By becoming an ALSC mentor, you'll have an opportunity to connect with a newer children's library professional and help them gain peer-taught skills all while supporting ALSC's objective of developing new cohorts of leaders.

ALSC is governed by a Board elected by the membership, including the President, Vice President, Immediate Past President, Fiscal Officer, Councilor, and eight Directors. We seek new members for these positions every year and we need you!
¹ú²úÊÓƵÍø
ALSC accepts proposals for education programs held at various events, including ¹ú²úÊÓƵÍøAnnual Conference, ALSC National Institute, Virtual Events, and more. This is a great way to build presentation skills and share your expertise!
¹ú²úÊÓƵÍø
ALSC provides limited funding to members who are interested in staffing booths, presenting programs, or coordinating local social events for children's library staff at events related to library services and/or children’s publishing.
¹ú²úÊÓƵÍø
Every year, more than $100,000 is given away to members through ALSC's professional awards, grants, and scholarships.
